A year at strukta: Dom & Tim.

It’s been a challenging year – but we’re celebrating our employees hitting their one-year strukta anniversary! Check out our Q&A’s below.
Q: Why strukta?
A: I was made redundant due to the pandemic and word of mouth brought me to strukta as they were looking for drivers. Then I discovered they were looking for someone with product development knowledge and supply chain experience which helped me move from my role as a driver back to what I know best – purchasing!
Q: What do you think you’d bring to the team?
A: Comedy value.
Q: Highlight(S) since being here
Definitely joining the supply chain team, being involved in the new re-brand of some new product lines and just being part of a great team.
Q: How would you describe strukta to someone who was thinking of working here?
A: An honest company with staff willing to go the extra mile to help customers and colleagues out.
Q: COVID-19 – has it changed how we worked?
I wouldn’t say changed I would say adapted, realising that staff can work from home if needed and knowing that we are all in the same boat. If anything during COVID-19 we have knitted better as a team.
Q: What motivates you?
A: Knowing I am a valued member of strukta.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: At strukta. Holding more qualifications from different courses and have a solid group of re-branded products.
Q: What have you learnt from being here?
That I clearly make a good tiramisu, haha! Also, how each department needs every other department to function. We all work better as a team and not individuals.
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: Most of my free time revolves around football coaching and seeing my twin nephews.
Q: Why strukta?
A: I joined strukta last year – I was looking for a new challenge! I bring a lot of experience to the role as I’ve spent most of my working career in the transport industry whether that’s behind the desk, supervising drivers or out on the road delivering to customers.
Q: What’s your highlight been since joining strukta?
Receiving kudos at the start of year – being recognised for acting with professionalism when dealing with a customer.
Q: Have strukta managed the COVID-19 pandemic well?
We’ve managed pretty well! We’ve kept operating whilst ensuring we stuck to Government guidelines.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at strukta?
A: I’m really interested in learning about the products we deliver to customers and how they’re used by the construction industry.
Q: Is there another role you’d like to try at strukta?
A: At this moment in time, I am really enjoying driving and being out on the road, seeing customers every day and making sure we’re getting it right.
